This advanced Water Purity Tester measures the total dissolved solids (TDS) in water. It is designed to identify the existence of most metals, minerals and inorganic elements. Many inorganic elements commonly found in water have known and potential health risks. The reading is expressed in parts per million (ppm). The higher the reading of your water, the greater the probability of harmful contaminants in your water. Harmful contaminants often found in drinking water include: asbestos; lead; mercury; arsenic and cyanide. Compare readings before and after the filter stages in your RO unit to identify when to change cartridges. Saves money.

This 10" clear canister is used in all Neptune RO systems. The canister has a slight tint to it for UV light exposure protection. This helps prevent the accumulation of algae buildup within the canister with ambient light exposure over time. Can be used to replace your existing canister. Comes with a white (male) screw on cap (O-ring included inside canister -- female part). End fittings are not included but can be purchased separately. See QC fittings section.

This O-ring is located inside the RO canister (female part) itself. It is used to prevent leakage under pressure. Replace o-ring if damaged or worn out.

Flow restrictors are placed inline on the waste water side of the RO system. They restrict the flow of the waste water at a rate proportional to the output flow of the membrane. The following rates should be used with the corresponding membrane size.

Flow restrictors
Flush Valves
Flush Valves are placed inline on the waste water side of the RO system. Like flow restrictors they also restrict the flow of the waste water at a rate proportional to the output flow of the membrane. Flush valves can also be used to clean out or "flush" the membrane when the valve is in the open position. In this position no RO water will be produced. Flush the membrane once every couple of months for 20-30minutes for optimal extension of membrane life. Whe the valve is in the closed position as shown in the diagram, the RO will run normal producing the optimal product water. Flush valves also have a flow number that corresponds to the appropriate membrane.
